REPOSE:鎮魂 CLARE PARRY-JONES & UNDERGROUND AIRPORT

In March~April, a performing artist,Clare Parry Jones came to Japan and did a research about Japanese paper(Washi),and reposing the soul of unborn child(Mizuko-Kuyo). Underground Airport supported these research and

held her crown workshop in Tokyo.

Finally, we decided to create one performance for Japan. After the earthquake in 2011 and nuclear incident of Fukushima,Japanese society and people have deep pain inside. We talked about those a lot. She used two human-shaped sculptures of Japanese Paper as a metaphor of Japanese society and people.

So, thank Wales Arts Council very much for giving us such a chance to collaborate with Clare!

And also thank John and Simon of National Theatre Wales a lot to introduce us to her and it was a great experience for us!
