I am looking forward to our next regional Rethinking Education meeting tomorrow - this time we're in Mid Wales so if anyone fancies joining us at The Muse in Brecon, please let us know by emailing team@nationaltheatrewales.org, as your input would be most welcome.

So far, our discussions have proved very interesting - we've heard about some amazing arts activities for young people happening all over Wales and have listened to many suggestions about how we can engage with this work.  We are looking at strengthening links not only with mainstream schools but also with young people who are educated otherwise, young people leaving care and those who are not in education, employment or training. 

We are hoping to maximise on our strengths in the digital world by developing exciting online projects that can be accessed and enjoyed by the next generation of creatives Wales-wide and we are hoping to support the current curriculum changes as part of the Creative Schools Initiative.  We are also looking at ways in which we can engage with families and help them to enjoy creative experiences together.

There is a lot to think about and the discussion is still wide open so please join in - either on our group page, Rethinking Education, or by joining us at one of our regional meetings.
