- Conventional theatre has not less valued
- How do we allow audiences to come with us (artists) on that journey?
- How do we start to define artists?
- Artists need to protect less their territory (art-form) and thinking of it as a tool to pass on to artists that work within a different one.
- One art-form, if dismantled, can contain different elements. So how you highlight those elements, and can that be already a multi artform way of working?
- Audiences have expectations, because of labels, so we need to learn better how to market performances that work.
- ‘Theatre’ is a living art.
- We need to hold more conversations like this with audiences too.
- “Theatre” needs to have an intellectual level which doesn’t mean working on a dramatic level.
- In 2029 we need to be able to call theatre live performance,
- Theatre can’t only be used as a word for a building which brings people together, can the word ‘theatre’ be used as a word for an art-form which instigate the creation of a community
- Who is this question for? Audiences\artists
- Is education part of defining what theatre is?
- Can NTW make work which is not “theatre”? YES YES YES
- As makers we can’t obliged National companies to define with one group of artists.
- NTW should have the courage to say “This is what we want and how we want to do it for the next 10 years” and get on with it. So that people are aware what the company will focus and will be interested over the next decade. Keep challenging and questioning the live art form.
- If there is not a form of “writing” then it can’t be called theatre.
- In Dance-theatre there is no writing but it is about the structure you approach as a maker and the experience you create for an audience member.
- When a new Artistic Director is put into place, he/she is allowed to start from a blank page and not to feel that he/she has to carry on the artistic legacy of the past direction.
- Are Welsh Artists actually curious enough to learn about new forms which go beyond their practice?
- Example of the National theatre of Belgium manifesto. For example: “Every performance will contain a non-professional individual”
- Artists need to interact more on a human level. Can something like is happening today happening every month? And the responsibility to make it happen and host it are shared within companies and organisations around the country which have the resources or easier access to resources for it to happen.

- Nid yw theatr gonfensiynol wedi gostwng mewn gwerth
- Sut y gallwn ganiatáu cynulleidfaoedd i ddod gyda ni (artistiaid) ar y daith honno?
- Sut ydym yn dechrau diffinio artistiaid?
- Mae angen i artistiaid amddiffyn eu tiriogaeth (celfyddyd) a meddwl amdano fel arf i drosglwyddo i artistiaid sy'n gweithio o fewn un wahanol.
- Gall un gelfyddyd, o'i datgymalu, gynnwys gwahanol elfennau. Felly sut ydych yn tynnu sylw at yr elfennau hynny, a gall hynny fod eisoes yn ffordd aml-ffurf ar gelfyddyd o weithio?

- Dylai fod gan NTW y dewrder i ddweud "Dyma beth rydym ei eisiau a sut yr ydym am ei wneud ar gyfer y 10 mlynedd nesaf" a bwrw ymlaen ag ef. Fel bod pobl yn ymwybodol beth fydd ffocws a diddordeb y cwmni dros y degawd nesaf. Parhau i herio a chwestiynu ffurf celfyddyd fyw.
- Os nad oes ffurf ar "ysgrifennu" yna ni ellir ei galw yn theatr.
- Yn theatr-ddawns nid oes ysgrifennu ond mae'n ymwneud â'r strwythur yr ydych yn ei defnyddio fel gwneuthurwr a'r profiad rydych chi'n ei greu ar gyfer aelod o'r gynulleidfa.
- Pan fydd Cyfarwyddwr Artistig newydd yn dechrau ar ei waith, caiff ddechrau gyda llechen lân a heb deimlo bod yn rhaid iddo/iddi barhau ag etifeddiaeth artistig cyfeiriad y gorffennol.
- A yw artistiaid Cymru mewn gwirionedd yn ddigon chwilfrydig i ddysgu am ffurfiau newydd sy'n mynd y tu hwnt i'w hymarfer?
