Summary of discussion: (Notes, ideas, further questions, conclusions, recommendations for actions to take, contact details of relevant people / organisations etc)

Should we just give up and produce youtube clips? Are we producing content that people want to see?

When we take shows out on tour and the audience is tiny, how can that atmosphere really help the show and the experience for everyone.

Trailers and digital content can help to promote live shows and the experience of attending live shows should still be worthwhile.

Actors and touring budgets are sometimes very prohibitive and not affordable. And touring feels in its current method quite unsustainable.

Touring used to be the lifeblood of theatre throughout Wales and the group felt that it used to be better than it currently is. It used to feel that there was more product to build up audiences, venues were able to take more risks as they were funded more and able to take more risks.

Funding cuts have affected the relationship between venue and companies as neither are able to take the risk and are unable to help and collaborate as well.

The new Scotland arts funding was brought up and the idea that limits the risk for venues and companies, however, the results are still unclear as it is very new, and there are potential problems with it, so jury out to see if it works but interesting to see someone doing it differently?

The most successful tours seemed to be ones that used local links in the venues in the creation or performance of the show – Raft from Gwyn Emberton Dance with community performers - Community choirs - youth theatres involvement at Torch – and local ambassadors.

Touring of R&D projects build up local links too and local ambassadors.

Theatr naNog – Nye and Jennie shows that touring isn’t broken as the tour was very successful.

Is it about content? Is it about the shows?
How do you create local relationships for touring shows?
What and where does the responsibility lie between venue and company?

Night Out scheme helps local community venues and rural touring and venues that can build audiences, but isn’t available for APW venues.

Schools and education is a place to start to build these connections and audiences, but most venues have struggled to get schools to come out.

Donaldson Report is helping to highlight the relevance of schools and drama within schools.

Should venues lok at subscriptions like Netflix? Membership schemes etc.

Audiences don’t care about the touring company they trust and care about the venue, the venue is the one who builds up the links with the local communities in most cases.

There are so many variables as to when something does do well and when it doesn’t.

Crynodeb o'r drafodaeth: (Nodiadau, syniadau, cwestiynau, casgliadau, argymhellion ar gyfer camau i'w cymryd, manylion cyswllt pobl/sefydliadau perthnasol ac ati)

A ddylem roi'r gorau iddi a chynhyrchu clipiau youtube yn unig? Ydym ni'n creu cynnwys y mae pobl eisiau ei weld?

Pan awn â sioeau allan ar daith ac mae'r gynulleidfa'n fach iawn, sut o ddifri gall yr awyrgylch hwnnw helpu'r sioe a'r profiad i bawb.

Gall rhagluniau a chynnwys digidol helpu hyrwyddo sioeau byw a byddai'r profiad o fynd i sioeau byw yn werth chweil o hyd.

Mae actorion a chyllidebau teithio weithiau'n gyfyngol iawn a ddim yn fforddiadwy. Ac mae'r dull presennol o fynd ar daith yn teimlo'n eithaf anghynaliadwy.

Roedd teithio'n arfer bod yn enaid theatr ar draws Cymru a theimlodd y grŵp yr oedd yn arfer bod yn well nag y mae ar hyn o bryd. Roedd yn arfer teimlo bod mwy o gynnyrch i adeiladu cynulleidfaoedd, roedd lleoliadau'n gallu cymryd mwy o risgiau gan iddynt gael eu hariannu'n fwy ac yn gallu cymryd mwy o risgiau.

Mae toriadau ariannol wedi effeithio ar y berthynas rhwng lleoliadau a chwmnïau gan na all y naill na’r llall gymryd y risg ac ni allant helpu a chydweithio ychwaith.

Codwyd mater cyllid celfyddydau newydd Yr Alban a'r syniad ei fod yn cyfyngu ar y risg i leoliadau a chwmnïau, fodd bynnag, mae'r canlyniadau'n aneglur o hyd gan ei fod yn ddiweddar iawn, ac mae problemau posib gydag ef, felly mae'r rheithgor allan i weld a yw'n gweithio ond mae'n ddiddorol gweld rhywun yn ei wneud yn wahanol?

Mae'n ymddangos mai'r teithiau mwyaf llwyddiannus oedd y rhai a ddefnyddiodd gysylltiadau lleol wrth greu neu berfformio'r sioe - Raft o Ddawns Gwyn Emberton gyda pherfformwyr cymunedol - Corau cymunedol - cyfranogiad theatrau ieuenctid mewn Torch - a llysgenhadon lleol.

Mae mynd â phrosiectau R&D ar daith yn adeiladu cysylltiadau lleol hefyd, a llysgenhadon lleol.

Theatr naNog – Dengys Nye and Jennie nad yw mynd ar daith wedi'i dorri gan y bu'r daith yn llwyddiant mawr.

Ydyw'n ymwneud â chynnwys? Ydyw'n ymwneud â'r sioeau?
Sut ydych chi'n creu perthnasoedd lleol ar gyfer sioeau teithiol?
Beth yw a ble mae'r cyfrifoldeb rhwng lleoliad a chwmni?

Mae'r cynllun Noson Allan yn helpu lleoliadau cymunedol lleol a theithiau gwledig a lleoliadau a all adeiladu cynulleidfaoedd, ond nid yw ar gael ar gyfer lleoliadau APW.

Mae ysgolion ac addysg yn fan cychwyn ar gyfer adeiladu'r cysylltiadau a chynulleidfaoedd hyn, ond mae'r rhan fwyaf o leoliadau wedi'i chael yn anodd iawn i ddenu ysgolion.

Mae'r Adroddiad Donaldson yn helpu amlygu perthnasedd ysgolion a drama o fewn ysgolion.

A ddylai lleoliadau edrych ar danysgrifiadau fel Netflix? Cynlluniau aelodaeth etc.

Nid oes ots gan gynulleidfaoedd am y cwmni teithio, maent yn ymddiried mewn ac yn gofalu am y lleoliad, y lleoliad yw'r un sy'n adeiladu'r cysylltiadau gyda'r cymunedau lleol yn y rhan fwyaf o achosion.

Mae cynifer o newidynnau ynglŷn â phryd mae rhywbeth yn llwyddo a phan nad yw'n llwyddo.
