OK, so I've been told that posting about Unknown Pleasures 2009 on here would just be shameless advertising - but as it's a theatre development project (between Volcano, Taliesin & Swansea Met)I think it's something the community here should know about. Rather than me blathering on, here's a link to an article Paul wrote for the Western Mail (only I can't get the hyperlink option to work - think the link is too long, so you'll have to paste into your browser):
http://www.walesonline.co.uk/showbiz-and-lifestyle/theatre-in-wales/2009/05/22/expect-the-unexpected-from-walk-the-dead-dog-91466-23688148/

I suppose it really would be shameless to give you the box office number - so I'll just say it's at Taliesin tomorrow & Friday and Riverfront on Saturday.

Come along and Walk the Dead Dog with Mrs & Mrs Clark! Sorry Claud...

You shameless creature, Stella Patrick!

But seriously, this may not be the place for a brazen plug, but it is a good place to talk up the process. It's been good to watch these up-and-coming performers working with Mr & Mrs Clark, being offered the space and support to take risks and put so much of themselves into the process. They really own the piece, in a way that doesn't happen so easily with more conventional casting/directing processes. But at the same time they have the pressures of working in a real professional environment, where they can't just go on creating but have to make decisions about what works and what doesn't. And tomorrow night the audience get to decide whether they've made the right ones! I missed the NTW housewarming, but anyone from the NTW online community who is going to UP2009 tomorrow night is welcome to join us for a drink after the show. We'll be in the gallery, with nibbles...
