Singing teacher required for established performing arts school in Carmarthenshire & Pembrokeshire. Must be experienced and confident in working with pupils aged 6 - 16 yrs.

 

Experienced singing coach sought for temporary cover and/or possible long term contract at Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Carmarthen & Haverfordwest.

We are interested to hear from you if you are interested in ongoing work in Spring /Summer term.

The ideal candidate(s) will have these qualities (though if you don’t have all of them, we will still consider you):

  • Strong vocal skills/technique
  • Experience teaching children aged 6-18
  • Professional performance credits
  • Grade 8 piano skills and ability to coach whilst accompanying
  • Musical directing experience
  • Ability to choose material from a wide repertoire (including musical theatre, pop, folk and other styles) to      appropriately challenge and strengthen young voices
  • Enthusiasm, and ability to inspire and build singing confidence

Background and CRB checks are required.

Must be available every Friday evening during term time.

Duties: preparation and tuition of singing classes for ages 6-18, writing student reports, attending staff meetings and developing performance projects in conjunction with the Principal and Drama and Dance coaches, acting as Musical Director for performance projects.
