SOUND DESIGNER CALL OUT – WORKING TITLE ‘SPYCOPS’ 

We are looking for a sound designer for an ACW funded first phase R&D exploring the theatrical potential for a staging of the Spycops scandal. Currently the subject of a public inquiry, the scandal saw undercover Metropolitan Police Officers form intimate relationships with female activists, across the UK, in order to infiltrate political and environmental protest groups. One of the first victims to come forward was from South Wales.

Sound is integral to our vision and as such we are looking for a designer with experience of working collaboratively within a creative team as part of a devising process. We are keen to explore the use of binaural sound and headsets, alongside contemporary composition and soundscapes. We would welcome applications from underrepresented groups, Welsh speakers and those with an interest in and/or lived experience of political activism.

Fee: The fee for the project is £500 for five days work between the following dates: Sunday 23^rd January to Thursday 27^th January 2022.

Due to budgetary constraints, unfortunately we cannot offer to cover travel and accommodation costs.

GALWAD AM DDYLUNYDD SAIN – TEITL GWEITHIOL ‘SPYCOPS’ 

Rydym yn chwilio am ddylunydd sain ar gyfer cyfnod ymchwil a datblygu sydd wedi'i ariannu gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, er mwyn archwilio'r potensial o lwyfannu stori'r 'Spycops Scandal'. Wrth wraidd y sgandal mae heddlu cudd y Met, a ymdreiddiodd i grŵpiau gwleidyddol ac amgylcheddol ar draws y DU wrth ffurfio perthnasau agos gyda ymgyrchwyr benywaidd. Menyw o Dde Cymru oedd un o'r cyntaf i ddod a hyn i'r golwg ac yn bresennol mae'r sgandal yn destun archwiliad cyhoeddus. 

Mae sain yn rhan annatod o'n gweledigaeth ac felly rydym yn chwilio am ddylunydd â phrofiad o weithio'n gydweithredol o fewn tîm creadigol fel rhan o'r broses ddyfeisio. Rydym yn awyddus i archwilio'r defnydd o sain deuglust a chlustffonau, yn ogystal â chyfansoddiadau gwreiddiol a 'soundscapes'. Rydym yn croesawu ymgeiswyr sy'n dod o gymdeithasau heb gynrychiolaeth ddigonol, siaradwyr Cymraeg a rheiny sydd â diddordeb a/neu brofiad o ymgyrchu gwleidyddol.
