Spontaneity for people and comedy
For all walks of life, improv comedy will offer a development in
confidence, communication and spontaneity. In-line with the background of
Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Will Ferrell and Brits such as Eddie Izzard, Paul
Merton and Phil Jupitus, the course advocates the use of improvisation for
everyone. No need to be an actor or comedian, but you're allowed too.

The eight week course is led by Nathan Improv. The workshops shall explore
spontaneity and its application to create comedy live. There is an
eight-week course available for adults from October. In the course, we
shall explore thoughts on the use of fun, enhancing the performance of the
players through using playfulness in their improvisation. Its rather
obvious that fun is engaging to see and is also fun for the performers.
Playfulness gets us out of the way of ego, judgement and expectations,
which are three elements that kill our improv. We shall  search the basics
of improvisation: listening, agreement and adding, committing and
supporting each other. Improv is an open art form, where we search for
freedom and honesty for comedy!

"Thank you for your power and being dynamic!" Anonymous, Germany
"I really love the focus of this workshop... Thanks for everything." İpek
Nisa Beslen, Turkey
"Awakened lots of thoughts; really interesting..." Anonymous, Finland

Nathan Keates (www.NathanImprov.com) is a professional international improv
teacher that has various acclaims in testimonials and toured to various
festivals around the world to both teach and perform. Keates has also
directed many productions. In this eight-week improv comedy course Keates
shall lead through topics from Viola Spolin, Keith Johnstone, Del Close and
some from the Keates himself (amongst others). By the end of the course all
participants will have personally explored and developed in the art form of
improvisation and can stroll through the wonders that are your journey to
the unknown.
Let's find the funny together.

"Nathan did an amazing job to involve us and to make the workshop really
interesting and gripping."Ruggero, UK
"I feel I got a BIG ahaa on what I should work on after this when I do
improv. That was really nice." Anonymous, Finland

The explorative style of comedy touches simplicity with our organic
capacity to improvise; the play that people avoid can be the opening gate
that enables us to find what makes people laugh, enjoy the moment and
produce quality off the cuff. Comedy is innate in everyone, what the course
will do is bring this to the forefront and make it conscious before being
sub-conscious once more. The process is both fun and informative. Through
the progress of the course, the participants develop in each aspect that is
fundamental. The incremental challenges leads to the potential to get
onstage with nothing and create comedy for a live audience.

"I had a great time and feel that I've made a huge step forward in improv.
Thanks." Denitsa, Belgium
"Nathan' brought together the magical support from oneself and the freedom
provided by chaos." Anonymous, Estonia
