Hello all I my name is Guy and I am an Arts Development Officer for Bridgend Council. As an ADO my remit is to encourage and support artistic and cultural activities in any artform. There are ADO's in most local authorities in Wales.

In order to open up Johns core themes of Create, Debate and Respond I would suggest it would be a good idea to create a team of people in order to Spread The Word, throughout the nation.
I am sure that there there are many arts organisations and individuals that could look at using John's themes as a set of working criteria over the next few months in order to create an output which truly reflects our nation.
I know from my working area of Bridgend that one of the things that puts people off the arts is the feeling that they have no say in outputs or that its elitist or highbrow.In order to resolve and negate this I would suggest we try to act as a conduit and involve everyone in this debate, for example;

Many of our older citizens who, (as the have more leisure time are often very supportive of arts activities) don't have access to or find IT off putting. How therefore are we going to engage with them ?

Engaging with very young people again presents another set of interesting challenges. How can the NTW create a debate at this level does it need to seek the support of education staff or can it filter its debate through (for example) TIE companies and their long standing relationships with school staff and educational organisations.

Its very exciting to have this level of debate and a real opportunity for people to feel involved in the creation of a new nation wide theatre company.
