When shall I foot it?

In the silence of the morning

Witnessing the night slur into dawn

Anticipating the sound of the hollow winds arise

Where trees flank the way in the same direction

The broken dreams scattered by the side of the road

Shall not commemorate my achievements opposed 2 my failures

Regret shall be the footprint that I leave behind

Only for those who know how to read the trail

Shall be able 2 follow in my footsteps momentarily

Nevertheless I still watch for slim pickings

I smile at the sight of slim birds that move swift by the flap of their wing

That go where the wind and thunder conversate

And clouds that unleash missile shaped raindrops onto the earth

For which I am grateful

Now the dust of the travelled road is awash with the rain

In due time you will no longer be able 2 remember my name...
