SWANSEA PLINTH ARTIST CALL OUT

LOCWS International and Swansea City Centre Management are creating a ‘Swansea Plinth’ between the 26th-30th June 2012 and want proposals from local artists, art groups, performers, poets, musicians and students to showcase their practice on the plinth. ‘The Swansea Plinth’ will be approx 2.5m x 5m and 0.5m high and sited on Oxford Street over 5 days to coincide with the Adain Avion programme that is free and open for all to see.

‘The Swansea Plinth’ will literally be a platform for the City of Swansea, showcasing its diverse range of culture and creativity, celebrating the talents of a diverse selection of artists.

There are slots available for 6 hours, 3hours, 1 hour or 30 minutes and can include any cultural or creative practices.

Please email an expression of interest that includes:
• Time slot(s) you are interested in
• A short description of your intentions and ideas
• Any requirements you may have e.g. Electricity, Display board(s) etc

Please note that selection will be solely based on the proposals received and at LOCWS Internationals discretion. There is no fee available for selected participants.

Also if you are interested in helping but don’t want to be on ‘The Swansea Plinth’ please send an email with your contact details and how you would like to be involved.
