Table read for Feature Film set in the Rhondda Valley

Hi everyone!

I'm a London based director and have been developing PALLBEARERS, a feature film set in the Rhondda Valley, over the last 14 months with a writer called Giles Gartrell-Mills. We're now at a stage where we would love to organize a table read in order to see how the dialogue flows - and maybe have some input from people who are actually from the South of Wales!

The table read will take place on Saturday, the 11th of February in Cardiff, from 11:30 till about 2pm.

It is a family drama with black comedy revolving around a Grandfather's funeral - so we're looking for men and women in varied age groups. As there is no production company attached yet I can unfortunately only offer snacks and drinks that afternoon - but it'd be a great chance to meet, and when we eventually get to the casting you'll obviously be in our minds :)

Please email me on kim.strobl@gmail.com if you're interested and available, and I'll send you the script to have a quick look at beforehand.

Hopefully see some of you that Saturday!

Kim

Hi Kim, this sounds great! I'm from Pontypridd so I know that there is plenty of material for a black comedy to be found in the Valleys! Unfortunately I have an audition on Saturday during the time of the table read - but keep me posted on any developments as I'd love to find out more. (kate_griffiths@live.co.uk) Good luck on Saturday, and I look forward to hearing more. Kate.
