Are you developing your own creative projects and need some advice on fundraising and finance? We are holding a session where you have the opportunity to get top tips from NTW Staff Michaela Nutt & Jenny McCarthy
Michaela Nutt, Development Associate at National Theatre Wales will lead a session on fundraising from Trusts & Foundations, arts councils and local government. Michaela will cover proposal writing, budget development and sourcing funding from sources often overlooked in the arts. They'll be a short presentation and then a workshop session where we'll work with you individually or in small groups on how to best present your project. To this end, you'll get the most out of the day if you could forward a copy of a proposal that you've written previously (successful or unsuccessful), or one you're working on, or even a paragraph about a new project that you think you might apply for funds for in the future. Then, with the lovely Jenny McCarthy, Finance Officer at NTW on hand to help with your project budget, we can work directly on what is relevant to you and your proposal. If you can't send something in advance, but have an idea, we can workshop it on the day. The session will be appropriate for all levels of experience.
Jenny will then lead a session that will include useful tips on
· Tax
· National Insurance
· Beginners guide to Self Assessment
· How to create an Invoice
· How to prepare for VAT
· Self Assessment accounts vs. Limited company accounts.
