Scala Drama update - October highlight No. 1 - Bryn Terfel sends his best wishes to the Scala audience, live from New York. Dressed as Wotan, he is waiting in the wings and talks to the interviewer about his role, beamed by satellite to the world. But more importantly for us - to Prestatyn. The audience are proud of him, you can feel it in the reverential hush. We gaze up at him on the screen, admiring the magnificence of his breastplate - our Welsh god. And then, for a brief but cherished moment, he turns to the camera and addresses us directly - I only remember hearing "Scala" & "Prestatyn". A small, spontaneous cheer erupts. My first ever night at the opera is more than a dream, endorsed by a god, I am truely grateful I my wore cornflower blue suede shoes.

COMING UP - my main project for 2011 - "Dreams & Realities" - the launch of Ffilm Scala - a film-making unit based in the community which will encompass Stori Scala & Scala Drama... Jan x
