Hey All ,

Myself and Elgan spent the weekend in the windy city (Llandudno) running TEAM workshops at the TakepART festival in Venue Cymru.

The TakepART Festival is a two day event focused on promoting Arts Activity in North Wales. Among our Workshop there were many others , including scratch puppetry performances and music. With over 1000 people through Venue Cymru's door on Saturday , all taking part in various activities , including, graffiti art , illustration, balloon modelling, graphic design  and clog dancing. There was also beatboxing  sessions, break dancing,  comedy, story telling, roller  skating, craft and  photography.

The workshop myself and Elgan offered was on behalf of TEAM and an introduction to storytelling, writing and performance. The workshop lasted one hour and we had around 30 people join. After a quick warm up we went straight into developing characters, led by different parts of their body. Then we played a few games to develop their characters some more and into a verbatim writing exercise.  The workshop seemed to go quick but there was enough time to fit in some group one word storytelling and a show back of little scenes featuring their earlier developed characters.

We spoke about NTW, TEAM and how they could get involved. Many of them were excited and wanted to know more. All in all I think it was a success and  a lovely day in a wonderful location. It was time for us to go and we had just enough time to pop to the shops to grab some snacks before we had to catch our train back to Cardiff

Thanks TEAM for this wonderful opportunity
