The Ballad of Ivor Jones, WalesLab 2014, blog post 6

Yesterday was our final day at the Park & Dare Theatre in Treorchy. Firstly, I must say a huge thanks to all the staff there for helping us out this week. By chance, it was the Eisteddfod Cylch y Rhondda at the Park & Dare and the place was packed with hundreds of children. On every landing and stairwell, behind every door there were children singing, reciting, dancing, preparing to compete. The building was full of little loud voices and the Welsh language was everywhere. The energy and excitement was incredible. And what could be more appropriate than to end our first week surrounded by all those Welsh children celebrating their identity and heritage through creativity?

We’ve had a fantastic week and have been bowled over by the support, generosity, enthusiasm, talent and creativity of all those involved, directly and indirectly, in our project. DIOLCH YN FAWR IAWN I BAWB. XXX
