The Blaze of Noon - Casting for London Table Read Announced

Wayne Adrian Drew's new play is at the first stage of development. This new “metaphysical comedy” looks at how, in different ages, people have tried to understand what is arguably life’s greatest mystery. The poets Dante & Milton struggle, in their centuries, to justify the ways of God to man while, in the 21st Century, in a shabby S. E. London flat, a young writer has his own very ambitious agenda too. One that is going to bring him a great deal of trouble. Rich in comedy, historical detail, and raw emotion, “The Blaze of Noon” is a highly original, and at times quite madcap, approach to a truly timeless dilemma. The initial table read will require a cast of 6/7 with the following playing ages. Two men 40 plus – one with an excellent Italian accent. A woman 60 plus. A woman 20-30. Two men 30 plus. And a man 20 plus with an excellent Italian accent. Actors should preferably have easy access to Greenwich, London and have both good sight-reading abilities and an interest in potentially taking the play further as initially a rehearsed reading.  For further information please email ustwo1000@gmail.com
