Well that was a lovely trip.IThink i might buy a season ticket and go on that trip again...

The response to 'A Kind of Alaska' has been very positive , and i want to thank everyone who came up to us to thank us for the show and who have left messages to say how much the enjoyed it. It has provoked some very interesting discussions about the play, the style, the acting and the concept we went for. For the record, i followed Peter Hall's method.I thought, Well i might as well be inspired by someone who knows his stuff . He wrote at length about how he would start with the text ...then give life to the melodrama lurking beneath and explore that in detail, and then return to the text ..with the emotions held burning underneath ..and melting through in the silences and pauses.

The audience for all performances seemed to be gripped by the play and even when the music from Chapter Bar threatened to infiltrate the atmosphere on friday night..the audience stayed with it and refused to be distracted.

We have a review coming out today from Othniel Smith Ive spoken to him and he thought it would be good to have another run of the play as it was selling so well. It's certainly something to consider.However,.with actors this good,we have to make sure they are all available at the same time .We are all moving on to pastures new ... Caroline Bunce is working on a new Sherman Cymru development project called 'Cold Spread', Nathan Sussex is off to Bath Theatre Royal staright away to perform in 'The Censor' by Anthony Neilson and Claire is back to working in television with a role in 'New Tricks'. Im working with Rachel Trezise Shelley Rees and Richard Tunley and a small cast on adapting her book of short stories for NTW...its a research and development opportunity at the moment..so fingers crossed for the future.

Be:spoken Theatre will keep in touch with everyone about what we plan to do next...maybe you would like to buy a season ticket too and come along for the ride?

Bye for now . (pause)
