****AUDITIONS**** for the main band within the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We are now taking submissions for the following roles ONLY.

JEFF SCOTT - Jeff is a tortured but talented songwriter. Playing age is early 20's. Very handsome. He will NOT be playing an instrument. We are looking for a a true rock/pop voice to take on this challenging role and front the band.

SEAN - The quiet one! Tall, thin and moody male. Playing age is early 20's. We are looking for an Actor/Musician who is a confident Bass Player.

SEB - He is high maintenance and is Jeff's Nemesis. He is very cool looking. Playing age early 20's. Seb is an excellent guitarist and should be able to act to a high standard.

DAN - The friendly one! Very tough, manly looking male. Playing age is early 20's. Excellent Actor/Musician who also plays the Drums to a high standard.

ROSIE - The Arty one! Cool and Pretty but with a feisty edge to her. Knows how to handle herself. Playing age 19. Rosie is the Keyboard Player and needs to be an excellent Actor/Musician

These are ALL challenging roles in themselves. You really need to be confident with your instrument but at the same time be able to bring a very naturalistic style of acting to this piece. Everyone of these characters have emotionally charged moments in the show and it needs to be believable.

We are Auditioning for these roles now as we want to form the band separately from the rest of the cast. This is for several reasons. One so you all bond well and are believable in your roles and two, so that we can market you and the show at various events this summer.

If you are serious about wanting to be part of this exciting new musical then you will need to make note of the following location and dates:

Neath College - Auditorium
Saturday 19th May - Preliminary Auditions by invite only!
Sunday 20th May - Re-calls

Feel free to share this notice. All submissions are to be sent to themusician2012@live.co.uk. Please forward your CV, Head Shot and any relevant links with sound clips or live footage of yourself singing and playing your instrument. It can be anything you like, just so we get an initial idea of you. If you are suitable we will be in touch by no later than Monday 14th May 2012. If successful we will send you a track from the show to learn and you can bring a musical theatre number of your choice as well.

SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED UP UNTIL FRIDAY 11TH MAY

PLEASE ALSO BE AWARE THAT THIS IS A PROFIT SHARE PRODUCTION AT THE MOMENT AND IF SUCCESSFUL YOU WOULD BE OFFERED A PROFIT SHARE FEE WHICH WOULD BE FOR ALL REH/PROMOTION AND THE WEEKS RUN IN APRIL 2013.

Looking forward to hearing from you all and GOOD LUCK!

Best wishes

The story of Jeff Scott and his meteoric rise to fame and his deadly fall to reality, sometimes wanting fame is not enough. How far will he go and at what cost to his friends and the one person who truly loves him....
Biography
THE MUSICIAN! The story of "Jeff Scott and The Moths" The price of fame will cost him all who are close to him! And ultimately his own life!.... HIS outcome is in YOUR hands!

Dai Smith and Allyson Summerhayes have always wanted to write a musical and we are absolutely sure it is going to take off in a big way. Dai and Allyson based their concept on a short film by Tom Wadlow (which they also composed the music for) and immediately started the creative process

We have a very experienced Production Team behind this project and we are all oozing with ideas and ambition. Reach for the stars and higher is our motto!

On the Music side of things we have Dai Smith and Allyson Summerhayes, who have co-written all the music and lyrics for the show.

Dai and Allyson have also had their Producer on board quite early on in the process and that is the well known Swansea Actress and Singer, Nia Trussler Jones who is no stranger when it comes to business and producing a top quality Musical.

The script requires a realism that you rarely see in musical theatre, but also with a twist of humour sprinkled over the top and some high emotional energy to make you sweat a little. If you combine that with a rock concert several times during the evening along with all the theatricality and spectacle...well, we think it makes for a pretty good piece....oh what the hell, dare we say, an Excellent piece. Two names that were thrown into the mix were Swansea Actor and Singer Richard Burman and Swansea Actor/Comedian/Magician/Writer and professional rib tickler, Stefan Pejic.
