TYA-UK 18th ASSITEJ WORLD CONGRESS AND FESTIVAL TRAVEL
BURSARY
Join TYA UK on an International visit to the 18th ASSITEJ World Congress and Festival
taking place in Warsaw, Poland in May 2014. Over 20 international productions and
regional showcases, seminars, workshops and symposiums will be taking place offering
an ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in theatre for young audiences from all corners of
the globe.
TYA UK and IMAGINATE (Scotland) are able to support attendance of UK based
practitioners, at least one from each of the 4 countries of the UK.
Dates - 23rd - 31st May 2014
Where - Warsaw, Poland
Cost - TYA UK will award each individual £500 towards travel, accommodation and
inclusion in the festival programme.
(Delegate packages will start from around £ 120, accommodation ranges from £ 25-
40 per night)

• Your current position (if applicable)
• Your experience of children’s theatre
• Why you are interested in children’s theatre and what you hope to gain from this
experience (max 2 sides)
Priority will be given to applicants meeting the following criteria
• Evidence of interest and experience in theatre for young audiences
• Membership/engagement with TYA UK
• Lack of organisational support (freelance individuals)
Successful applicants will be notified by Paul McEneaney (Northern Ireland), Fiona
Ferguson (Scotland), Steve Ball (England) and Sarah Jones (Wales)
