Be Aware Productions are looking for a Stage Manager and a Production Manager to join them on a journey in 2019.

Y Brain / Kargalar is a play in Welsh and Turkish that will tour Wales in February/March 2019 followed by performances in London and more touring during June 2019.

There will be two versions of the show, one for studio theatres which are technically equipped, one for community venues where the show will be self contained. There are two actors in the cast.

The production is supported by Arts Council Wales and Chapter in collaboration with Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru.

Stage Manager

Dates: 21st Jan - 24th of Feb (5 weeks)

11th - 24th of March (2 weeks)

3rd - 23rd of June (3 weeks)

Fee: £471 per week

Other expenses: All accommodation and travel will be provided on tour, and per diems paid daily while staying away from base.

Duties:

  • Run the rehearsal room
  • Be on book during rehearsal
  • Creating rehearsal and touring schedules for the team.
  • Creation of rehearsal and performance reports daily
  • Operate 2 consoles during performances (a combination of either LX, Sound or Projection)
  • Driving company vehicle either car or van on tour
  • Assist during get in and out of performances
  • Create an implement risk assessments in conjunction with the Production Manager.

Attributes:

  • Ability to follow a script in Welsh and Turkish (not necessarily fluent speaker)
  • Previous experience of venue based and rural touring in Wales
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experience using google drive to share information in a team
  • Ability to drive a long wheel base van
  • Basic knowledge of qlab for sound and projection
  • General knowledge of setting up and maintaining technical equipment including LX, Sound and Projection
