Profile Information

What I do:
Deliver bespoke applied theatre workshops as actor/director of Projectpiece - rapidly expanding my portfolio as a third year performing arts student. For more information find me on Facebook, as "Projectpiece".
A little more about me:
Interested in international development issues of all kinds, especially those which affect the vulnerable lives of children such as children in restavek, child soldiers and the young fisher-boys used to untangle the nets under boats, whom many cannot swim and often never see the light of day again. Projectpiece aims to focus attention on improving the livelihoods of children at home and internationally. " My time" includes visits to classic and contemporary theatre performances. I especially enjoy highly charged physical theatre which explores ontological and modern interpretations of humanity and our performative interactions within societies. I love to research development, write, read fiction and non-fiction equally, perform, teach, workshop, spend time with my children and various genres of film.
Location:
Swansea, Welsh, UK & Global Citizen
Projects I’m working on:
Always focusing on the next projects in hand .... which presently includes An "April Fool's Fancy Dress Parade" along the prom for children under 12yrs and their families (Check event on FB), a project with "Community Lives Consortium" and adults with learning disabilities, year 9/10 pupils at Ffynone House School who are devising a piece of drama about prejudice for an assignment and workshops with 12-16yr olds at "Townhill Community Centre." In May, working with a Haitian theatre group and Jean-Robert Cadet, we take children's interactive theatre projects to schools aiming to explore the effects of discrimination and what approaches could be adopted to make more sustainable communities.
