An alumni of Dartington College of Arts, Chris. Dugrenier is an independent performance and choreographic artist based in Northamptonshire.
With a practice encompassing many art forms from outdoors performances(1), Video Art(2) ; site-specific projects(3), she is drawn toward Found Choreography (Aerobatic flight visualization preparation, Semaphore, walks of life, fitness routines) and presenting works in non-art environment (bunker, outdoor market, disused shoe factory, gyms and health centres…).
Recently, her practice has moved towards solo performances.
Wealth's Last Caprice, a performance about our possessions and their legacy was last presented at Hatch Notthingham for NEAT14 festival and is at Embrace Arts and part of Chelsea theatre’s Sacred Season in November 2014.
Elan Vital is part gym class, part performance, dealing with ageing and running out of time. It toured gym clubs and sports halls in Northamptonshire as part of Big Dance 14 festival in July.
Her current project Parallels about migrations and journeys sees her travel across the country to R&D(4) patterns, cycles and making visible parallel journeys and human constructs and thoughts...
She is an associate artist for Stan’s Cafe Theatre and collaborator/Devisor/Performer for 30 Bird.
