I am working on community health drama's with Health Drama Productions Derby. From Cardiff working in partnership with The Gwanwyn Arts Festival on a new radio and internet project 'A Lifetime on Tiptoes' about the Partition of British India 1947.
Not sure if you saw my reply last night? I've put a call into Guy to check his availability. I'm available and happy to meet up. Suggested early evening if that might suit you.
I have an audio CD recording of the BBC Radio production of End of The Line plus, of course, the script if you'd be interested in hearing / reading the play.
Not sure if you're actually based in Newtown this week but I have to travel through Newtown mid morning Monday and back again lunchtime Monday. Could maybe drop them off with you if you were and wanted me to.
I've put a call in to Guy and will let you know his availability. Can you point me in the direction of any information about what it is you're doing - I'm a bit hazy about it to be honest.
Would early evening Wednesday suit you both if that can work for Guy?
Very fond of chicken methi but my mavourite dish is the aforementioned chicken achari - bursting with rich flavours.
Would be delighted to meet and eat. What are your plans / movements?
I was interested to note your project 'A Lifetime on Tiptoes'. A few years ago I co-wrote a BBC Radio Drama called 'End of the Line'. (With Guy Roderick.) The play looked at the end of steam train travel in India but linked it back to partition. (Guy's father's family had been connected with the railway communities there at the time.) We had an extraordinary research trip that included travelling on the footplate of one of the last steam trains working out of Udaipur. Guy would be an interesting person to join us to eat and he lives fairly locally. We have some great photo's from that trip which you might be interested to see. He also has family tales of the effects of partition.
As a resident of Rhayader who has just finished eating a Chicken Achari with plain rice I wonder if you might like to include a visit to our very own Spice Cottage here on East Street.
Not only is it a very welcoming place with great food but it also has the distinction of having just won the Wales Curry House of the Year Award!!!
Hi, Dominic - good to hear from you. The Radio Drama event was very useful; Kate McAll gave solid info re the commissioning process. Not entirely encouraging, but I think everyone appreciated her frankness. Indycube looks interesting, if a little out of the way for those of us who are dependent on public transport. Cheers, Othniel.

Looking forward to hearing more. Peter

We're about 27 miles south of Newtown.
Best wishes, Peter Cox
