Profile Information

What I do:
I'm a freelance theatre director and (occasional) producer, based in Bristol
A little more about me:
I trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School 2009-2010, where I won the Elsa Roberts Prize for Directing. I'm a massive fan of story-oriented ensemble theatre and have been fortunate to work with a range of emerging and established artists on both new plays and classic texts.

Since 2015 I have been Artistic Director and co-creator of 'Insane Root' - a site-specific theatre company putting known stories into little-known locations. Our productions of Macbeth in the Redcliffe Caves and Orpheus & Eurydice in the Clifton Suspension Bridge have gained national acclaim and a loyal local following. Our emphasis is on ensemble performance, live music and clarity of text.

I am also currently the resident director for the NT National Tour of Jane Eyre - running until October 2017.
Location:
Bristol
Projects I’m working on:
Christmas Project 2017 - St John's Crypt
Romeo & Juliet 2018 - Eastville Swimming Pool
Hansel & Gretel 2018 - Leigh Woods
