What I do:
design and make architectural environments
A little more about me:
Together with a team of artists and craftspeople I'm able to create hand crafted, low carbon spaces for people to laugh in and to connect with.

Our work is always warm and is sometimes witty like 'House' and 'The Junk Boat' and at other times gentle and sinuous like 'Turf landscapes' or the land based playspace 'Caradoc's Hideout.'

We build temporary and permanent installations that are for playing in and on rather than just looking at. As such we like to call them architectural environments.
Location:
Machynlleth
Projects I’m working on:
A cutting through the Dyfi - a landscape research project from the moving studio of the Cambrian coaster train; The woodland design laboratory - exploring site-specific architectural intervention in natural habitats

Hijinx Theatre smashed it!

After a day of relentless rain (I personally changed clothes three times and boots once to prepare the Woodland Pavilion for a potentially soggy night of outdoor theatre) Hijinx humbly arrived and set the stage for 'The Adventures of Sancho Panza.'

The performance was warm and witty and worked so beautifully on our little wooden stage in the woods. The audience laughed…

Hi Jenny,

Welcome to the Community! It's great to see you here.

Have a look around and get stuck in. A good place to start with the community is by joining a group. I recommend checking out the Creatives Group (which is looked after by Matt Ball, Creative Associate).

You can also update the community, or start a debate, in a blog post, and see what's on and post your own events in the What's On section. It would be great to hear more about what you do if you have a chance to write a blog post and share some information. You can include pictures and videos in them too!

As usual it's best to just dive in, but if you have any questions do give me a shout.

Jen
