What I do:: Arts facilitator / Artist

A little more about me:: Art Shell helps to facilitate creative activity in accessible spaces, to date our outputs have included residencies, interventions, research projects, exhibitions, commissions, workshops and consultations.

We are currently working on the ‘1-mile project’. The project looks for ways to engage meaningfully with the local community, public facilities and architecture within a 1-mile radius of our base in Grangetown, Cardiff .

Location:: Grangetown

Projects I’m working on:: NTBE - Art Shell with partners Grangetown Local History Society have been awarded funding from Heritage Lottery to run the ‘The Night-time Blitz Experience’. GLHS approached Art Shell last year, with a view to working together on a project exploring the impact of the Blitz on Grangetown. The project has commissioned three artists and a group of ten local young people to make work at buildings in Grangetown that were directly affected by the bombing. The resulting work is to be shown on the 80th anniversary of the Blitz, January 2nd 2021, as part of a night-time tour. (All dates are subject to change due to Covid-19 and will be updated inline with current advice.)
