Welcome, Lucas John

Profile Information

What I do:
hi I'm Luke and I am an actor, director and writer, or at least they are my goals.
A little more about me:
so I have been participating in a theatre and drama course which involves directing, scriptwriting and of course acting which I have continuesly learned new techniques to better my craft as an artist. As mentioned above I am working towards directing, writing and acting which I would greatly appreciate any help/advice on following these passions. I am looking for work small projects or big and would really love to work with others with the same interests. If there are any people that are interested in working with me you can either contact me by e-mail:lukeslade@live.co.uk or by Facebook: luke.slade.5@facebook.com, and obviously on here, look forward from hearing from you.
Location:
pontypridd
Projects I’m working on:
I've performed in a musical called "A-Z musicals" with the Pontypridd Theatre company, I've had some great acting lessons in the chapter arts centre in Cardiff studying the Meisner technique as well as Stanislavsky and I'm trying to learn as much as possible about acting, also I've been and extra in "an inspector calls" in the new theatre Cardiff. As well as this I have had much more experience with in my university course. Also I have had the pleasure of working with Everyman theatre in a festival helping behind the stage and a little part as an mp in blackadder the 3rd. With directing and writing I have worked on a few small projects in my university course as well as currently working on my own project about homeless people around Cardiff, so if there is any charity work needed such as directing and writing a project about a certain need I will be happy to help.

Hello I'm just wondering if anyone knows of any comedy improve groups that I could possibly join in with?

Hi Luke,

I use a variety of techniques and methods to teach acting - a bit of this and a bit of that! There's some Meisner, and I touch on Stanislavski, but it all very much depends on the individual and what they need to bring out the best in them. I charge £20 per hour for individual tuition, and the cost of the weekly acting course (10 weeks, 2 hours a week) is £110. All details on the website www.gesttrain.co.uk.

I think someone has already mentioned Cowbridge Am Dram to you. There's also Everyman Theatre, based in Cardiff who are very well established and put on all sorts. They have a website if you google them.

Hope that helps. Just email me on claire@gesttrain.co.uk if you need any more info.

Cheers

Claire
