JOB: Creative Practitioner for project in Newport School

We're looking for a creative practitioner to work on a project in Newport Primary School

Taking China as our starting point, we want to take Year 3 (8/9 year olds) pupils on a journey to a different culture. We want our explorers to know what it takes to traverse the Great Wall, take part in Tai Chi classes, be able to say a few phrases in Mandarin, learn a Beijing Opera fan dance, take part in a tea ceremony, and learn how to make and use a processional dragon.

We want to…

Experiments in co-writing

"Once upon a time, there was a father and son, and a mum."

I wasn’t expecting to write something that began “once upon a time” then again, I wasn’t expecting to write something at all.

I’m not a writer – but over the years I’ve co-written lots of performance text. Some exist on paper, but most exist only in the performers bodies…

Looking for an animator/ theatre maker/ Creative technologist or visual artist (PAID)

As part of the Lead Creative Schools Scheme I'm working with St Paul's Primary in Grangetown, Cardiff. We're currently looking to appoint a Creative Practitioner to work on a Numeracy project around time, distance & speed with a group of Year 1 & 4 students next term.

We want to be messy, fun and active. We might want to ride trikes in the playground, use the gym apparatus in the hall, or build a working plane out of Lego; learning should be through creative experiments and…

Hi, Matt-san!

This is Chinatsu from Underground Airport.

Thanks for adding me as a friend!

I don't know if you remember me from the lecture you did in British Council Tokyo last year, I was there and asked a couple of questions then.

I feel grateful and so thrilled that our company is going to take a part in Waleslab this summer.

Can't wait to see you all there!

Speak to you soon:)

Hi, Matt.  Thank you for the info.  I came to know about it thru twitter, and that's how I found this community.  I'll definitely submit my plan, crossing fingers.

Thankyou, Wx

Hey Matt!

How nice to see you (in cyber form at least).  And yes I'm Bangor-born, Caernarfon-bred. Far from home. Currently have the immense delight of working with Gemma Brockis on the first stages of a thing about (what is known as) the English Revolution. Its v. exciting. How are you?
