Profile Information

What I do:
Richard Croughan is an actor, originally from North Wales. He works in musical theatre, classical theatre, improvisation, comedy and touring theatre.
A little more about me:
Richard has just finished playing Dame at Chipping Norton Theatre this season; to rave reviews from Dominic Cavendish, David Cameron PM and many others! Earlier this year Richard finished a long stint of World touring after performing in 36 countries between December 2007 and March 2012. Performances included Mercutio and Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet at the National Theatre of China (NCPA) and the National Theatre of Costa Rica. He was the first Western Mercutio to play Vietnam, most notably at the Hanoi Opera House. More recently he played Lucentio and Grumio in The Taming of the Shrew in the courtyards of British and European castles. And very recently played Witch, Porter and Lennox in a physical theatre production of Macbeth in City Hall, Hong Kong, an International School in Cambodia and Ho Chi Minh Opera House, Vietnam. Tidy.
Location:
East London and also North Wales
Projects I’m working on:
Rehearsing for a BBC Blue Peter Horrible Histories Roadshow which will be following the Olympic flame across the UK. I play a Greek, a Roman and a French bloke. Lots of singing, comedy and audience participation!
Returned from World touring April 5th 2012. I'm now ferociously researching and getting my face back out there. New head shots just out on Spotlight...
