I read Drama at Birmingham University before training as a director at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and as a drama teacher. More recently I gained an MA in Voice from Birmingham School of Acting. I worked as an Assistant Director at Bristol Old Vic, and also at Birmingham Rep. I directed 17 productions at the Swan Theatre Worcester including Journey's End and Entertaining Mr Sloane. Acting credits include Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Antipholus of Syracuse in The Comedy of Errors (Shakespeare at the Commandery), as well as the one-man play One Fine Day for the Worcester Festival. More recently I appeared with the Applied Theatre company Outspoken in Catfish at the Artrix in Bromsgrove. I completed a Voice teaching placement at Rose Bruford College in 2016, assisting with voice support on three Shakespeare productions. As a freelance voice coach I have worked with the popular YouTuber Dan TDM, and for Gloucestershire Everyman Theatre and Wolverhampton University’s Arts Connect team. I have also worked as an accent coach at the Bridge Theatre Training Company in Camden where he taught both undergraduate and postgraduate acting students.
