The business development manager should be able to report back on trends and will be expected to go see a broad range of creative work, develop networks and connections, introduce new artists and community members to help develop ideas for the future.
Purpose of the role
The Company Business development manager reports directly to the Artistic Director and will contribute to the overall strategy and vision of the company, taking particular responsibility for the financial stability and commercial performance.
Jukebox Collective is a rapidly developing organisation and therefore the successful applicant will be required to develop new skills as the role progresses. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, the post holder will be expected to contribute to any or all aspects of the organisation’s future activities.

Key Duties/Responsibilities
Developing the overall financial strategy of the Company: identifying and exploiting additional revenue streams and exploiting the commercial prospects of the Company’s activities
Financial Management: bookkeeping/finance
Fundraising and sponsorship: preparing funding submissions and pitches, manage funded activities including monitoring and evaluation, seek and develop good relations with potential sponsors, build effective relations and maintain regular dialogue with the funding partners, including The Arts Council of Wales, the Welsh Assembly and Local Authorities
Oversee the day to day running of Jukebox Studio: line manage the contractors, freelance and short term staff (including inductions, appraisals, identifying training needs, CRB checks), act as a first point of contact for general enquiries and visitors, manage facilities and supplies, monitor class registers, scheduling and diary management
Project management: create production budgets in consultation with the Artistic
Director, negotiate the terms of co-productions, collaborative projects and of creative services, work in conjunction with the Artistic Director to develop and monitor the develop relationships with co-producing partners, venues and industry bodies
Contribute to the communication and audience development strategies
Contribute to the artistic planning of the company- creative ideas that take the business side of things forward
