Open commission for a theatre company/practitioner experienced in working in young BAME communities

Luton Council and Revoluton Arts are looking to commission a lead artist/group of artists for the August event as part of People, Power, Passion; our 2019 Pilot Year of Culture. The programme will explore people power, community action and Luton's strong history of standing up against injustice.

We're looking for artists to create and deliver a promenade/site-responsive theatre piece with BAME young people exploring injustice and the justice system in the UK. A non-professional, local cast must be involved. Artists will be supported by a team including a producer, engagement officer and an associate artist.

The overall project budget is £59,475 with a direct artist fee of £30,000. The additional funds are ring fenced for costs including production and performer payment and will contribute to the overall realisation of the project.

Please see the attached brief.
