Little Minute Theatre are looking for 3 Female or Female-Identifying Actor-Musicians for a week’s R&D, rehearsing in Cardiff from the 10th-14th June.

We strongly encourage bilingual Welsh actors to apply, but all backgrounds are welcome. Devising and movement experience preferred. Please note actors will be asked to sing - we aren’t looking for musical theatre-level voices, just confident performers.

Auditions will be held in Cardiff on the 5th June.

Inclusive fee for the week: £375.

If you are interested in being involved, please contact littleminutetheatre@gmail.com

A LITTLE ABOUT THE PROJECT:

Trailing Rhiannon by Emma Watkins

Falsely accused of killing and eating her baby, Rhiannon seeks to discover the truth through sharing her story with strangers.

Based on Pwyll’s story from the Mabinogion, and performed by an all-female cast of actor-musicians, Trailing Rhiannon is a re-telling of a classic Welsh folktale through modern female eyes.

An American Fulbright scholar of Welsh ancestry, Emma Watkins has worked closely with Cardiff University's Welsh and Celtic Studies Department to gain insight into this classic story and create a piece which reflects its mythic origins, while bringing it firmly into the 21st Century. Emma and Little Minute are also very lucky to be working closely with the poet Gruffudd Owen (winner of the 2018 National Eisteddfod Poet’s Chair) to incorporate bilingualism into the piece.
