This group is here for people interested in, involved in and affected by the play The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning. Join in and contribute as we develop the play further and re-stage our artistic response to his story, and his relationship with Wales.

You can read a blog post by TIm Price on why he wanted to tell this story here.

We're updating a Storify Story around the 2013 remounting, and you can see that here.

----------

This play is a fictional account which has been inspired by a true story. The incidents, characters and time lines have been changed for dramatic purposes. In some cases fictitious characters and incidents have been added to the plot, and the words are those imagined by the author. The play should not be understood as a biography or any other factual account.

This is great, Catherine!

People might be interested in plans we on the campaign have discussed -

eg: we are hoping to sort out a simple (life-size and portable!) mock up of Bradley's cell in Quantico in an outside public space - have 'engineers' on the job (!) at the moment and it looks like we can do a slot together frame.  One of the people on the campaign is trying to sort out location...

And see diary of campaign events that are already arranged under 'upcoming events at ' wiseupforbradleymanning.wordpress.com - hope to have more to follow.

and if there's any background info / current info updates you need, just ask..

Tonight we had out first meeting for the Cardiff volunteers who are helping to promote The Radicalisation of Bradley Manning. These are some of their ideas for promoting the show and getting more people involved.

Protest, voice and music featured high as reoccurring themes in our discussions, as well as the idea of "taking over" or "invading".

The volunteers will be posting more on this wall, and blogging on the community very soon ... please everyone, be as active as you can and get involved!

Courtesy of tim's tip off that there were some voice clips of Bradley: this reporter phoned Bradleys mobile and found his voicemail.

Thank you, Gwawr!

Looking forward to meeting you all - we'll be following you around (bodily, as opposed to on-line, I mean!) for the whole three weeks.

The original documentary (mentioned below) is here

http://www.abc.net.au/4corners/special_eds/20110214/leaks/default.htm

and the site has other info/pics etc.

This is one of the few reports which manages to convey more of the importance of what happened - good background with Daniel Ellsberg (Pentagon Papers) - and it ends with the reporter asking David House what he thinks Bradley would want to say to the world.

David replies in two words: 'pay attention'...

Thankfully Richard had a little more patience than this Drill Sergeant during our first drill session.
