F.Y.I.

Originally conceived as a reaction to poor working conditions experienced by members of the Collective in various environments, Working Wo/Man explores the different ways in which work mistreats us, lies to us and makes us lie to ourselves.

Working Wo/Man is a piece of devised theatre, making use of the senses and involving the audience in an inviting theatre experience. Using storytelling, physical theatre and elements of dialogue, Working Wo/Man explores the stages of employment and the impact each has on the individual.

The piece was performed as a sharing of work in progress with a small audience in November 2014 following several months of development with the core members of the Collective along with first-time performer, Lisa Tems.

Lisa will once again be performing alongside Holly Benjamin, Carly Davies and Zoe goodacre. This performance has been devised by the Collective and directed by Collective member Jemma Llewellyn.
