*SHORT FILM CASTING

Hello!
We here at FML are casting for our pilot episode and will be holding auditions on the 7th of May in Cardiff.

We have 5 principle speaking roles and are looking for 4 females and 1 male. Attached to this post are the character breakdowns, so give them a read over, see what you think, and send an email to fmldottv@gmail.com with which character you are interested in. Actors should send a headshot, CV and/or showreel; CV can be a document, Casting Call Pro link or Spotlight link.

Character%20Descriptions%20-%20FML.docx

Actors will be required for a maximum of 5 short shooting days at the end of June (maximum 5 for lead character, maximum 2 for rest of cast), and a couple of rehearsals to be organised with the cast around when is convenient, in the weeks leading up to production. All filming will take place in Cardiff, mainly around the city centre.

In terms of pay, we begin our crowdfunding campaign this week so we can generate some sort of fee for main cast. Our apologies for the inconvenience here; only apply if you are comfortable with this as this is an independent/Masters project. Of course you'll be fed and watered and travel costs paid to you. We are creating this on low to no budget currently and will appreciate your patience/support! This should make some lovely showreel footage and we are making this with a means to pitch a series.

Please send applications by the 29th of April. We will then send out audition info in preparation for the 7th.

Many thanks!

Audition Call for ClockTower Theatre Company's: Staff Room

Following the sell out success of this play’s featured debut in Kiln, Staff Room will be bringing back the coffee mugs and paper work to Little Man Coffee Company this June.

Behind that legendary closed door, where your only view in is a brief, smoke filled glimpse of another dimension, is a collection of some of the country’s brightest and sharpest minds coming together to take a break from the fast paced, high tension world of teaching. Can love find room to grow? Can religion and science share the same intellectual space?  Will anyone ever take the P.E. teacher seriously?

Staff Room is the debut play by Cardiff-based writer Lewiss Charles. Lewiss was a total unknown before his work reached a sell out capacity audience.

It will be a profit share using the Tronc Point system and you will find all rehearsal and other dates and information if you follow the link below to register your interest in auditioning.

We look forward to hearing from you!

Hello Welsh Speakers,

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I need to record a Welsh piece of text but as I am not fully fluent, I need some help with pronunciation.

Is there anyone who would be able to record themselves (on a phone is fine!) reading the text slowly and clearly, and email it to me, just so I know I am getting it right? It's about a page and a half of text.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and I will happily buy you a drink! Feel free to message me.

Thanks for your help,

Emily
