At National Theatre Wales we are proud to be supporting Fly The Flag.  Check out ways in which schools are able to get involved by clicking on the links below.

This June, schools across the UK are invited to take part in an international moment to mark the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Artist Ai Weiwei has created a new flag to symbolise universal human rights which will fly from buildings all across the world from 24 — 30 June 2019.

Fly The Flag aims to engage the next generation in understanding and valuing their human rights.
FREE cross-curricular resources for ages 5 to 18 designed in consultation with teachers, are available to download from www.FlyTheFlag.org.uk to support this learning. The resources use creative activities to promote enquiry and debate, and help pupils gain a better understanding about what human rights mean today. Plan your lesson or school assembly now and take part in this international moment.
To find out what events are taking place near you and for more details about how to Fly The Flag for human rights this June, visit www.FlyThe Flag.org.uk or sign up to the mailing list here

Summer playARK 2019

We've put together a programme of events for the summer that includes a new game, a reboot of one of our classic street games as well as a night of fun mini games.

What is playARK?
For those who have never been to a playARK event, it is a place where people can play, make and test games. We aim to make cities more playful and bring people together through shared playful experiences.

The games you will discover at playARK often take place in public spaces, can be high tech or low tech, sometimes they are serious, sometimes they are silly, often they are both.

We want to build a community of people interested in games, play and making! If you are interested in bringing a game to playARK or have any questions about our upcoming events please get in touch.

Here's another great offer for TEAM members from BBC NOW!

Hello NTW TEAM! We would like to offer NTW TEAM a special ticket offer for our upcoming BBC NOW concert: Mozart & Bartók.

…Beethoven and Bartók match each other in visceral energy in the first half. Beethoven’s overture is driven by the internal conflict and grand struggle of its Shakespearean hero, while Bartók, undimmed by illness and exile, displays his passion for his homeland and the Old World. Mozart brings the power of his operatic writing to his penultimate symphony, a masterclass in tension and release…

£5 Tickets* are available when calling the BBC National Orchestra of Wales Audience Line on 0800 052 1812 (Mon-Fri) before 5pm on Wednesday 8 May and quote “£5 Offer”. Below are the links for more information on the concerts…

St David’s Hall, Cardiff: https://www.bbc.co.uk/events/ecq9hn

*£5 ticket offer applies to the best available seats.
