Hello All,
Looking for some fun people who want to come and be a test audience as part of an R&D. This will be a chance to play, network and see this exciting story!

Friday, 26 Jul
2:00pm
Free
Sherrall Morris describes herself as ‘a jack of all trades’. Some people see her as a writer/storyteller, some as a facilitator, others as a performer. She believes that everyone has a story to tell, and helps and encourages others to find their own creativity.
Sherrall is currently embarking on telling an ambitious new story with a new interactive production. As part of this R&D we are looking for an audience of people to test some of this audience interaction. Thus we are creating a PLAYROOM join us for some games, performance and sharing. We want to have a bit of fun with our audience and enable us to learn a little more about the show we are making!
We hope to offer you laughter, reflection and a sneek peak at this new, and ever changing, project!
Working Title – Slalom
On the surface, Sherrall comes across as a very independent, bloody-minded and at times very scary woman. She certainly has plenty to say! But beneath the surface, there is far more going on. So much the outsiders don't see. It can all be overwhelming, no-one really seems to understand, even those who seem to think they do, don't. In all of these overwhelming misunderstandings Sherrall’s just proud she hasn't been driven to murder...yet.
Tired of being told what she can’t do Sherrall finds herself at the top of a ski slope, about to zig zap her way down a terrifying mountain drop. But we all
know you can’t ski with a wheelchair – don’t we?
With only her Salsa Quickie power wheelchair for company, Sherrall is determined to defy all the labels thrust upon her by others but it’s hard to be defiant when every moment of your day needs to be planned in advance and nothing can be spontaneous.
Come and meet Sherrall as she begins to reimagine herself and finally be seen the way she wants to be seen.
Schedule
14:00 - 14:15 - Introductions and Warm-up Games
14:15 - 14:45 - Interactions, Set Pieces & Sharings
14:45- 15:00 - Q&A

MERCURY THEATRE WALES

Our next SYNERGIZE meeting will be on Monday 24th June 5pm - 7pm in Tesco's Community Room, Western Avenue, Cardiff.
This month's session will be led by actor & director Lynn Hunter and open to all actors, directors, writers and producers.
If you'd like to join us please email info@mercurytheatrewales.co.uk for more details.

SYNERGIZE is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. But it doesn't just happen on its own. It's a process, and through that process, people bring all their personal experience and expertise to the table.
