MERCURY THEATRE WALES - SYNERGIZE

Are you an actor/writer/producer/stage manager/director?

Come and join us for our next SYNERGIZE meeting, this Monday 30th September 5-7pm, Tesco's Community Room, Western Avenue.

Synergize is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open-mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. But it doesn't just happen on its own. It's a process, and through that process, people bring all their personal experience and expertise to the table.

Email info@mercurytheatrewales.co.uk for more details.

Check out this brilliant placement opportunity with The Other Room!

Edrychwch ar y cyfle gwych yma o The Other Room!

* CALL-OUT for INVOLVEMENT IN THE VIOLENCE SERIES AT TOR*

WE NEED ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGERS

The Other Room is currently on the hunt for some volunteer Assistant Stage Managers to come on board to work on The Violence Series. Volunteers would work at The Other Room in Cardiff on some or all of the following productions:

American Nightmare by Matthew Bulgo (10/09/19 - 29/09/19);

The Story by Tess Berry-Hart (8/10/19 - 27/10/19);
Hela by Mari Izzard (04/11/19 - 24/10/19).

This is an exciting opportunity to be amongst the inner workings of professional, high-end fringe theatre in an award-winning theatre with some of the most exciting welsh & Wales-based creatives that we have to offer. This opportunity is perfect for those who are keen to get some industry experience; specifically those who are looking for a career in stage management or production - even those who are simply keen to find out more about what happens ‘behind the curtain’. A great opportunity to add to any CV.

Requirement:

We’re looking for support during show-call of all three of the above productions. We would ask that each individual would commit to work on at least 3 performances for each production as a minimum. This means that you will have the opportunity to work alongside three distinctly different creative teams, as a part of one unified season.

Show call for each production will (typically) be 18:30-21:00.

For those who are particularly eager to get stuck in, we will also require ASM support during the technical rehearsals of each production, which tend to be daytime commitments on:

American Nightmare: 9th & 10th Sept. The Story: 7th & 8th Oct.
Hela: 4th & 5th Nov.

Taking on these shifts would be a great opportunity to see how things come together just before each performance - tech is where the magic happens!

Interested?

If this opportunity sounds like it’s for you, email The Other Room’s Producer - George, george@otherroomtheatre.com - and we’ll get you signed up to join the team.
