Event Description

On International Women’s Day come and join us at Cardiff M.A.D.E to witness, support and discuss feminist dance making.

Eef Bonnet and Jess Lerner will share the culmination of their residencies at Cardiff M.A.D.E.
Eef, a Cardiff-based actor-singer and emerging dancer, will develop a dance piece on Domestic Violence for Women’s Day, with the working title: “Some women’s day”
Jess is ‘understanding, experiencing and processing where I am now in my female reproductive body and what part this plays in my identity’.

Groundwork and M.A.D.E will create space and a framework to discuss and support their work.

Groundwork’s Deborah Light and M.A.D.E’s Zoe Gingall will then host a discussion opening up the questions:
‘how can we (re)acknowledge our gender through movement?’
and
‘what is feminist dance making?’

Drinks and snacks available at the M.A.D.E bar
