Profile Information

What I do:
Theatre producer at the Young Vic in London. Former Producer at China Plate. Founder of Wales based touring company - Waking Exploits.
A little more about me:
I studied Drama and Theatre at Royal Holloway, University of London.

In 2010, I co-founded Waking Exploits, with the ambition to produce and tour high quality work in Wales, and beyond.

Alongside my role with Waking Exploits, I continue to produce and manage a wide range of theatre in London and around the UK in a freelance capacity.

I love the diversity of theatre and the positive energy that has transformed in Wales over the past 5 years or so, despite the difficulty of the RFO cuts.

I'm especially interested in writers that take on the big issues of the day, examining them in either subtle or provocative ways. Some favourites include Caryl Churchill, Dennis Kelly, Simon Stephens and David Greig...and of the newer generation, Jack Thorne, Tom Wells, Ella Hickson, Lucy Kirkwood, Tim Price and Laura Wade.
Location:
London
Projects I’m working on:
-Producing new work with Waking Exploits, premiering and touring Wales in 2013, alongside the development of an innovative new writing programme.
-Producing the work of the award-winning Sue Timms, in Wales and around the UK
-Producing a new, innovative Christmas show, directed by Matthew Evans, premiering at The Albany and Rich Mix in London.

Serious Money by Caryl Churchill, produced by Waking Exploits

In just 2 months time Waking Exploits will be staging Caryl Churchill’s groundbreaking play, Serious Money.

This explosive play set in 1987 plunges us into a world where even the Tories struggle to deal with the City’s financial institutions. An era where the economy is growing out of control as a breed of risky bankers and dodgy…

Hi Iain

I've been away on tour for the last 3 months and this is the first time I've logged in since then!

Many thanks for the offer, I hope all is going well with the project.

Please don't hesitate to get in contact for any projects in the future.

All the best
