I am a BA French/Drama and Theatre Studies graduate from Aberystwyth University. My practice is based in physical and experimental theatre, particularly trainings of Jill Greenhalgh, Odin Teatret and Song of the Goat, whom I have all worked with, as well as the practice of Jerzy Grotowski and Tadashi Suzuki. I constantly seek further development by taking part in various workshops and master classes with worldwide known theatre practitioners.
In Summer 2015, together with other Aberystwyth University Drama graduates, I have started Experimental Acting Studio, a theatre company based on the principles of experimental and physical theatre as well as artistic development through self-progress and healing. In our training we approach the performer as a creative unit with the focus on his personal development. We are particularly interested in spiritual and emotional growth as well as body and voice training. Our approach concentrates on awakening and increasing the energy of every person in the group and also seeking for a connection on that basic, energetic level.
My art allows me to give out a certain piece of my personality to the audience. I’m inspired by particular events from my life that led to who I am now. Human being is full of inspirations, and every person is different, with his own memories, experiences and emotions. My art allows me to break the wall that I had formed, take off that mask, let all the hidden feelings out, and turn them into moments of joy, freedom and self-appreciation.
Projects I’m working on:
personal training and development
Work in progress exploration of the idea of under-appreciating people who are close to us, drawing from artist’s personal relationship with her great-grandmother.
