Follow the journey of a new Welsh company as we set out to devise a show & tour Wales.

In 48 hours time we’ll have already started devising a show called Wardrobe Diaries, before setting-off on a tour of Wales.
I’m devising/ directing WD with the help of a great, supportive & creative team:
Bridie Doyle Citrus Arts Manager & Choreographer
Nic Young (Riverfront) Co-producer
Deborah Keyser (Creu Cymru) Co-producer
Phil Mackenzie (Sherman) Dramaturge & Mentor
Dai Mitchell Production/Technical Manager
Carl Davies Designer

The performers are:
Laura Moy Wales based dancer & founder of Siamber Wen.
Paolo Locci Italian street performer & Chinese Pole tutor at FLIC (Italy).
Elisa Blecich Croatian actor, academic & street performer.
Craig Turner Breakdancer, Parkour acrobat & tutor.

Elisa and Paolo arrived on Thursday. We took them to Riverfront to show them where we’ll go into the last creation phase and our first shows.

It’s an incredibly short time that we have to make this piece but, I think the last 2 years of small try-outs and research have given us enough material to work with. Craig will arrive fresh from a cruise-ship job on Monday, and Laura will be around - as supportive/creative as always.

Today was spent collecting jumble clothing and seeing Paolo and Elisa getting to grips with their copy of ‘A to Z of Cardiff and Newport’.

It was Welsh Pride weekend in Cardiff so it wasn't hard for them to find a warm, theatrical welcome to Wales.

More news, as it happens. . .

Hows it going James? Hope today was a good start. Just call when you want and am happy to talk or come to the space as required.

A dirty, sweaty day spent today glueing rubber to our Chinese Poles & rigging them withkind help from John Kirk a 2nd yr technician student at RWCMD.
There's still some more circus equipment to repair & install but, we're ready to have a gentle start tomorrow.
