Surprise Surprise: Our First Show in Our Year 4 Programme Announced

So we promised you a series of exciting announcements over the coming year as each of our new productions is revealed separately.  And here's the first - Raw Material:  Llareggub Revisited will be an extraordinary new take on Under Milk Wood, inhabiting Dylan Thomas's town of Laugharne for a weekend to deconstruct and reconstruct the classic text, in a joyful collision with the characters of today.  Created by artist Marc Rees (who turned the seaside town of Barmouth into a theatre installation for our opening year production For Mountain Sand and Sea), and writer/director Jon Tregenna, who knows Laugharne and Thomas like few others, the show will take place over May bank holiday weekend and should be a must-see for hardcore Dylanistas, NTW event-lovers, and curious adventurers.

You can join the online group here for updates and to see the creative process in action.

Here's a news article in the Western Mail with some background and interviews.

Here's the NTW webpage.

And here's a Press Release with all the details.

Is he a Dylan Thomas fan Tom - or just addicted to immersive, site-specific theatre experiences?
