The Dutch are back in town! Mon 29th Sept, NTW

Hi all!

For the last 2 weeks Sjoerd and Joran from PeerGroup have been living in Rhayader getting to know the locals.

If you aren't familiar with the dutch company's work, they are a group of artists of all sorts of disciplines who work site-specifically and immerse themselves within communities as part of their research. They have built castles out of straw, involved audiences to lay tracks and moved an old train carriage across Holland and in January they are burning a barn. They also have their own pigs. Here's a picture of them...

And now they're starting to research for a new show in Rhayader in Mid Wales! On Sunday, Ben, Rebecca and myself joined Sjoerd and Joran to explore the ideas they come up with after their first week, and I can tell you that they are exciting ideas and very much rooted in what the character of Rhayader is.

Ben, Rebecca and myself first began exploring Rhayader's wonders, beauty and quirks last November after spending a week residency there with NTW and Peergroup. You can read our blogs of our experience here- Ben , Rebecca , Bud .

Sjoerd and Joran with be in the-

NTW HEADQUATERS (30 Castle Arcade, Cardiff, CF10 1BW) at 2pm on Monday 29th.

Come and join us to hear more about their last 2 week and the future plans for the project! I can guarantee you in true NTW style, there will be a good supply of tea, coffee and biscuits.

I will finish with this little gem... Rhayader very own cat bartender!

'My pub, my rules mate.'

See you on Monday!

Bud
