Hello, nice to meet you.
I’m Yo Nakamura, a choreographer/dancer in Tokyo.
I’m going to join WalesLab in this August. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone!!
I participated in a theater production at New National Theater in Japan and NTW's"Opportunity of Efficiency" in March last year. The director, John and all the NTW's member are very charming and wonderful! I am glad to be able to join WalesLab. Thank you very much, National Theatre Wales!
My proiect is “Cymru and I”.
I am interested in the precious memories that people cherish.
For example, while I’m out for a walk in a town, I remember the memory that happened at the place.
At that moment, the place begins to shine vividly and speak to me about the memory with the beat of my heart.
I want to collect such shiny experiences in Wales. And I want to discover the most familiar fairy tales in the world.
Why is it Wales?
I looked at many pictures of Wales. They are beautiful and magical. I think time goes by more slowly in Wales than Tokyo. It is good to look back on old times. And then, the famous Japanese animated filmmaker, Hayao Miyazaki got a lot of inspiration from Wales. I have watched his movie since I was small.
So I am making the plan as follows.
I hope to meet many special memories in Wales.
And now, I am looking for a Welsh video artist participating in my project together!!!
I'm happy wonderful artists are interested in my project.
Let's find remembrance together!
Thank you for reading my first post.
I hope to see you soon.
Best wishes for your happiness!
Yo
