AUDITIONS! Call out for LGBTQ+ performers - The "Q" Word

Our next project is an exciting and collaborative one at that - we are looking for between 6 and 8 LGBTQ+ performers to be a part of The "Q" Word.

An evening of monologues written entirely by Welsh and Wales-based members of the LGBTQ+ community, The "Q" Word will highlight the personal struggles that the community faces in the 21st century, through personal stories, and heartfelt anecdotes. No Boundaries aim to bring the stories and work of a community that continues to be suppressed and discriminated against to the forefront of this evening of sometimes funny, sometimes heartfelt and totally empowering monologues.

If you're interested in being a part of this project, we're asking for individuals who consider themselves to be a part of the LGBTQ+ Community to send in videos, roughly between 1 and 3 minutes, of yourself, telling us a personal story about your identity or sexuality. It needs to be nothing fancy, or nothing too personal, we just want to get to know you a bit! It could be a coming out story, or an awkward conversation you had with your boss about why you wouldn't be someone of the opposite gender to the work's Christmas Party, or the time when you found your very religious Auntie raving the night away on Churchill Way and you had a glorious moment of clarity. Following this, we are potentially planning to host a round of group auditions, likely to be 6th or 7th of May.

Submissions deadline is Monday 1st May at 5pm, sent into noboundariestheatre@gmail.com - please include in your email too, a CV or Spotlight, and a headshot, or a picture of yourself, as well as your availability for the following dates:

MAY:
Saturday 6th: 10am - 4pm
Sunday 7th: 10am - 4pm
Wednesday 24th: 10am - 4pm
Monday 29th: 10am - 4pm
Tuesday 30th: 10am - 4pm

JUNE:
Sunday 4th: 12pm - 5pm - Tech
Monday 5th: 6pm - 10pm - Performance
Tuesday 6th: 6pm - 10pm - Performance

[Please note, that the only dates it is essential you are available for at the tech and performance dates, don't fret if you have N/A's for some of the other dates.]

As this is an early developmental stage of what we hope to be regular evening, on a much bigger, fully -funded scale. At this stage, the evening serves as a fundraiser for further No Boundaries projects, so there is unfortunately no opportunity to pay any of the artists involved, however the future of the company, and this evening, is looking very bright, so we hope that any involved artists might consider a future involvement with the evening should it develop into a paid opportunity.

Should you have any further questions, queries or concerns about any of this information, please do not hesitate to get in contact with me on the company email stated above.

We look forward to hearing from you all!
