Actorsworkshop: Academy Plus

Wednesday 18th May - 20th July

Chapter Arts Centre: 1st Space

7.15 pm - 9.15 pm

£100

During this term workshops will focus on a number of key acting techniques in order to equip participants with the necessary skills to build and develop a character for the stage. During the course of the workshops practical exercises will be demonstrated with participants having the opportunity to try these out using a piece of text from a film. This workshop is pitched at an intermediate level; participants are encouraged to apply if previous training has taken place. The course will culminate in a show-back of scenes for invited friends and colleagues

Actorsworkshop: Advanced

Thursday 19th May - 21st July

Chapter Arts Centre: 1st Space

7.15 pm - 9.15 pm

£120

During this advanced term participants will have the opportunity to work on a scripted duologue from a published play/film as well as the chance to study performance monologues. The course will allow participants to develop a range of performance techniques including Stanislavski's system and The Meisner Technique whilst working towards an end of term show-back for friends, family and colleagues. This term is pitched at an higher advanced level; participants are encouraged to apply if previous training has taken place and a performance confidence is present.
