Doppelgangster is an international performance company based between Wales and Australia. It is currently responding to climate change, forced migration and globalisation.
Doppelgangster may or may not include a known terrorist threat, a pilgrim lost at sea or a regular working class, mortgaged, hard-working, working family. That said, Doppelgangster may be nobody at all.

We're heading to Melbourne and Sydney with THE ETERNITY OF THE WORLD: PARTS MISSING by Doppelgangster and MKA: Theatre of New Writing.
A black mass, a misremembering, and a disappearance act.
From Aristotle to that 'Cruisin’ episode of Rockos Modern Life, this troubling and mesmerising contemporary performance work speculates beyond the known.
A stark, strange, and surreal event; featuring the twice singularly brilliant performances of Kerith Manderson-Galvin and Tobias Manderson-Galvin, the cutting, experimental jazz score of Maria Moles (JAALA) and Adam Halliwell, and the incendiary dramaturgy of Dr Tom Payne (Doppelgangster).
OPPORTUNITY: Doppelgangster Co-Director Dr Tom Payne is looking for emerging artists or groups of artists who are interested in mentoring for their next project.
Message from Dr Payne: "Hello! I've been lucky to have some amazing mentors. And so, with the aim of 'payng it forward', I'm offering this service for free to a small number of talented individuals or groups of artists with inspiring ideas that resonate with my interests and expertise. I look forward to hearing from you, all the best!" - Tom
Tom's fields include: devising, site-specific theatre, socially engaged performance, and the themes of climate change and social justice.
Check out Tom's website for more information http://www.drtompayne.com/
ARE YOU INTERESTED?
Get in touch and tell Tom a bit about yourself and your project! Who are you? What have you got planned? How can he help? The wonders of technology mean that this opportunity is not limited to Wales/UK!
Send your response to: tom@doppelgangster.com
DEADLINE EXTENDED TO 12PM BST 3/7/2017
Good luck!

I recently attended Homo Novus Festival of Cotemporary Theatre in Riga as a guest of Cape Farewell. I was there to talk about Doppelgangster at COP21 in Paris last December. Read about it here.

Doppelgangster's TITANIC rips up the screenplay from James Cameron's 1997 epic Hollywood tear-jerker and a maelstrom of other sources including the Titanic DVD Special Features Disk and eye-witness, survivor accounts of people who actually saw the film at the movies.
Cameron's narrative is subverted by competing historical, fictionalised and completely fantastic accounts, as early 20th Century political spin, media confusion and public anxiety are given voice, amplification and a flare gun.
TITANIC is about ‘educated guesses’, 'operational matters' and the impossible pursuit of ‘truth’. This most grand spectacle is staged entirely from a shipping container and stars Tobias Manderson-Galvin (MKA | Australia) as Titanic Director Cameron; Dr Tom Payne (Silver Rocket Club, Hydrocitizens) as handsome, though slightly aged, Leonardo DiCaprio, and a guest performer as elderly, and suspiciously alive Rose. All accompanied by a recorded and amplified score by Jules 'Crazy Legs' Pascoe. First class seats available.
